Philanthropy Friday Behind the Scenes with Columbus Gives Back

When interviewing Julianna, founder of Columbus Gives Back, I asked her to tell me something special about Columbus Gives Back. This is what she had to say:

"I think something special about Columbus Gives Back is that we help behind the scenes without much drawing much attention to our work. We often joke that we are kind of “secret Santas” in the sense that we visit an organization in the evenings or on weekends so that the staff arrive the next morning with a much lighter workload. I believe that this sense of anonymity attracts similar-minded individuals to the group. It’s also been fun to witness the friendships—and relationships—develop and flourish as a result of working with Columbus Gives Back. A lot of us have become close friends and—I know I’m jumping ahead quite a bit--but I’m crossing my fingers that there will be a wedding somewhere down the line!"
